ABOUT
Richard is a very experienced trainer and consultant. His areas of expertise include leadership development, frontline management development, team development, executive and personal development coaching, strategic/business planning and accounting for non-accountants training.
Richard has worked in a wide variety of organizations from small to large organizations in New Zealand,
Australia and Papua New Guinea. He is accredited with the PNG National Training Council and has been providing training in PNG for over 6 years.
Richard’s depth of business knowledge and skills in sales, marketing, finance and general management coupled with a very practical approach to training and facilitation has provided excellent value to a large number of organizations.
Richard is member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators. He is also an accredited DiSC® consultant in behavioural profiling and a registered practitioner in MBTI®. He is a certified practitioner of Lominger Leadership Architect and Team Architect. He is a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management and is qualified in Moderation and Workplace Assessment with NZQA. He also holds the National Certificate in Adult Education and Training and provides mentoring advice as a member of Business Mentors New Zealand.
Richard’s background includes Chief Executive Officer of Cogent Communications in New Zealand where he was responsible for restructuring the company, transforming it into a profitable high growth telecommunications business.
Based in Singapore, Richard was also Vice President, Asia Pacific, for Motorola Cellular, in 1995-97, after having been Managing Director of Motorola New Zealand for more than two years. In addition, Richard has held a number of other senior management positions including General Manager of Epson New Zealand and Area Financial Officer, South Pacific, for Wang Labs Inc. based in Australia.
