Borrowing some elements from the work Precious Sediments, this body of work arrived
as a return to painting. The collection title, Translucence, refers not only to the luster
effect of ‘glazing’ that is predominantly employed at the painting surface to enchant
appearance, but also it refers directly to the character of light that is capable of making
perception both distinct and dreamlike simultaneously.
The works have been shown at Ipreciation Gallery, Singapore (2016) and Elemental
Artspace, Singapore (2017)
