"Cinematic Dreams was done with colour pencils, shaded very lightly and softly, almost
invisibly, on each page of three layers of thin papers. The work is part of my journey in
working with 'non colours' - by that I mean, colours that present themselves so subtly,
so momentarily, as if they exist as passers-by. My first fascination to these colours was
seeing the sky gradually shifted tones within seconds, especially during dawn and dusk
period. What is left about them are some kind of faint memories and longing”
(Artist’s notes, 2016).
The work has been shown at a group exhibition in the artist’s studio at Studio Ubi,
Singapore (2016) and continues until today as an ongoing project .
